How to Buy and Sell Land

Why should you invest in real estate? Good question. If you were sitting in a room full of millionaires and asked how many people made their millions in the stock market, only a few would raise their hands.

But, if you asked how many made their millions in real estate, the over whelming majority would raise their hands because- everyone needs a place to live.

Truth be told, it’s no fun being a landlord, but if you hold on to real estate or land for a long period of time, chances are you will be rewarded handsomely.

When it comes to investing in land itself, there’s a famous expression among the real estate investing world that goes- “God isn’t making anymore land, but we’re making more people.”

That is to say, there’s only a limited amount of buildable land on the earth, but the worlds population is rapidly growing every year.

Having said that, all these people need to live somewhere and at some point, we’ll run out of land to build on.

Nothing can exist without it and it supports everything in the environment. Land has been witness to acts of charity and cruelty, inspiration and insanity, grace and grit. It has been abused through centuries of waste and otherwise victimized by every act known to and done by mankind. Yet it has always
survived.

Every day in every part of the world, people use land in some way. They look to it for support and to provide them with food, shelter, transportation or a livelihood. Since the beginning of time, individuals have believed that land was so vital to their existence that they were willing to die to defend their rights to it.

Where can you buy land? Well nowadays you can go anywhere online. From well known brokerages like Remax and Windemere to online sites like ebay.

Yet while land itself is not a mystery, its investment potential is a well-kept secret. The real estate development business has tended to be conducted like a covert operation. People thinking about buying or selling land don’t have the information they need.
